No blinking LED when receiving a message
Bug description
When receiving a message on Silence, the notification sound is played, and the notification is visible on the screen for a few seconds. That's normal. But the notification LED is never blinking. So, if you're not around when the message is received, you easily miss the message (you only discover it the next time you switch on the screen)
How to reproduce
- Install Silence, do not change the default settings
- Receive a SMS or MMS (encrypted or not)
Actual result: no LED is blinking Expected result: the LED should be blinking
I tried to uninstall/reinstall Silence (without re-importing the settings). The Settings of Silence are the default ones :
- Notifications : on
- Sound : default
- Vibrate : on
- Color of the LED : green
- Blinking speed : normal
- Notifications in conversation : on
- Repeat alerts : never
- Display in notifications : Name and message
The Settings of LineageOS are close to the default ones in Apps and notifications -> Notifications (sorry if the translation is not perfect) :
- On Lock screen : display all the notification contents
- Allow notification dots : on
- Battery LED : activated
- Notification LED : select colors automatically. Under this setting :
- Notification LED : on
- Automatic colors : on
- By default : short slow
- Brightness : 100% (normal and do not disturb)
- LEDs with screen on : on
- Customized parameters : off
- Default notification sound : CyanMessage
- Do not disturb : disabled
- Sent recently : (a list of apps, where Silence is not)
If I uninstall Silence, and switch back to the default SMS/MMS app, the blinking LED works fine when a SMS is received. The blinking LED works fine when missing a phone call.
